Did some research and found this was close in location and a Hilton brand (who I usually have no issues booking rooms with). As a Hilton Diamond member, I can definitely say this property is not up to Hilton Standards.Needed a night stay prior to leaving in the morning at the SLC airport. It also had an air conditioner that wouldn’t cool the room, wall paper that was peeling away from the wall in the bathroom and a mystery stain on the floor near the night stand. The fact is, one is one too many! Btw, the room they switched me to had a tv in which the remote would not work unless you got up from the bed and walk across the room and get within 5 feet of the tv. It’s even more infuriating that they downplayed that only one was found when their housekeeping inspected the room. I have never had bed bugs in my home and until now have never encountered bed bugs in a hotel. What I’m more concerned about is the fact that the hotel manager stated to a co-worker of mine that when they check the room they only found one bed bug and that for all they know I could have brought the bed bugs to the hotel with me. She was apologetic and polite and changed me to another room. I presented the bed bug to the early morning/ night manager on duty the next morning. Wednesday morning after staying the night in my room, I found a huge bed bug crawling up the bed skirt of the other bed in the room that I hadn’t slept in. Beware, bed bugs! I checked in the DoubleTree Salt Lake City Airport on Tuesday of this week.
